Fil Eisler has firmly established himself as one of Hollywood’s most in demand film composers, with projects that range from big studio action pieces and comedies, to gritty independent films and hit television shows. He has been nominated for and been the recipient of numerous awards including the World Soundtrack Awards New Discovery, SXSW Best Soundtrack Award and multiple BMI Awards. Eisler’s ability to understand directors’ musical intent and his innovative approach to scoring has led to numerous collaborations with some of Hollywood’s most accomplished creatives, including Lee DanielsCatherine Hardwicke, Melissa McCarthy, McG, Christian Ditter, Dax ShepardMarti Noxon and Phillip Noyce with whom he collaborated most recently on Vertical Entertainment’s incredibly well-reviewed caper/genre film Fast Charlie, starring Pierce Brosnan and Morena Baccarin, his latest in a long string of collaborations with the veteran director.

Fil’s recent scoring work includes Constantin Films’ large scale international production of Momo, from the much beloved fantasy book by Michael Ende (Neverending Story) directed by Christian Ditter and starring Martin Freeman for which he also wrote the end title song “Time Is All We Have” with multi platinum selling UK artist Sam Ryder; the Bruckheimer / CBS hit series Fire Country and it’s sister show, Sheriff Country as well as the Netflix mega hit Outer Banks, the finale of which Eisler recently scored at Synchron Stage in Vienna with a large orchestra and Moroccan ensemble.

Eisler, a Czech-born, English-raised composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, has worked with ensembles of all shapes and sizes to help bring his scores to life. Variety described his music as "smoky, elaborate film noir-inspired compositions,” while Beatweek Magazine praised him for making “beautiful music” that “…almost acts as another character further enveloping the audience in its grasp.”

Eisler: “There’s just no set palette I work with until I have that initial discussion with the director, so be it an orchestra or a roomful of synths, ukuleles and decaying tape machines or whatever, I will find something unique for the film. Every movie is and has to be, different.”

A former recording artist, songwriter and record producer, Fil has written songs, recorded and toured with such artists as Robbie Williams (being a permanent member of his band through all of his initial successes, tours and albums), Sam Ryder, Christina PerriImogen Heap, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Lzzy Hale, thrash metal legends Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo, Ryan Adams, Pat GreenDave Stewart and many others.

Transitioning to film scoring in the early 2010’s, Fil rapidly found success after being selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Composers Lab, becoming a recognizable name on the indie movie scene and winning multiple awards for films such as Robbie Pickering’s Natural Selection (for which he won the SXSW best score prize and a World Soundtrack Awards nomination), On The Ice, and To The Bone. He has since gone on to span many genres in both film and TV with such hits as Fox’s Empire, ABC’s Revenge, Showtime’s Shameless and the New Line comedy hit How To Be Single amongst many others.

Eisler resides in LA where he maintains a studio complex in Burbank whilst often working internationally, having multiple citizenships and passports.
